Make Delicious Saffron Pancakes, A Healthy Breakfast | Yaqoot Saffron

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground saffron
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

1- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground saffron until well combined.

2- In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.

3- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

4- Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Grease with butter or cooking spray.

5- Using a 1/4 cup measuring cup, pour the batter onto the skillet or griddle. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.

6- Serve the saffron pancakes warm with your choice of toppings, such as butter, syrup, whipped cream, or fresh fruit.
